Semburan lumpur dingin yang terjadi di sumur tua Merbau 01, menyembur hingga mencapa ketinggian 3 meter namun setelah 7 hari ini semburan rata-rata hanya sekitar 1.5 meter dan lumpur yang keluar sekitar 4.200 meter kubik, hari ini rencana untuk melakukan injeksi lubang sumur selebar dua meter dan sedalam 400 meter akan dilaksanakan Pertamina EP Region Sumatatra Field, dengan adanya semburan lumpur ini sempat membuat
